EASO receives Dutch Award

The EASO Executive Committee is proud to announce that EASO was awarded the 2009 Amsterdam Young Scientist Award. This prestigeous award was presented to Janna van Diepen (Netherlands) during the ECO2009 Closing Ceremony.

ECO2012

The EASO Executive Committee is delighted to announce that Lyon, France was elected to host the 19th European Congress on Obesity. ECO2012 will take place in May 2012 and further information will be available via this website soon.

18th European Congress on Obesity - Istanbul, Turkey

The 18th European Congress on Obesity will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from 25-28 May 2011. Further information on this ECO will be available here in due course.

2nd Central European Congress on Obesity

You are invited to attend the 2nd Central European Congress on Obesity taking place from 1-3 October 2009 in Budapest, Hungary. Information relating to the scietific programme, sponsorship opportunities and delegate registration is avilable via the congress website.

HOPE

EASO is a contributing partner to Work Package 2 of the European Commission-funded HOPE project. EASO’s particular added value includes strengthening the Eastern European component of the HOPE networking activities as well as general support for the HOPE programme of work.

DIETS Thematic Network

EASO is a partner in the DIETS Thematic Network. DIETS is an acronym for Dietitians Improving the Education and Training Standards for dieticians across Europe. This Thematic Network already has 120 Partners from 30 European countries who all share a commitment to better nutritional health for the people of Europe.  We will disseminate regular progress updates via the EASO website and e-bulletins.  Further information on this project is available via an overview document and the DIETS Website.

Launch of new official journal of EASO

The EASO Executive Committee is pleased to announce that Obesity Facts, the European Journal of Obesity, will be launched in February as an official journal of EASO.
